I’m super pleased with each of you and your continuous effort! You are doing a great job. Keep it up. Well the 6th week of school is almost over, and what a week it’s been!
With the Orange & Blue Football game, the Amazing Race, and the EXCELlent Triathalon class has been one big showcase of talent, determination, and teamwork!
I couldn’t be more proud of all my students – you are all doing awesome! Keep it up – for the race and games aren’t over yet!
Now, the only question is…WHO WILL BE THE VICTOR? Will it be the “A” day groups or the “B” day groups?…TIME WILL TELL!

I had a great time today “A” Day! I wanted to remind all of you that there are now hard copies of all assignments if you feel you need them. Remember 8th Graders – Thursday is a work day! I hope you enjoyed learning about Formatting, Charting, and Network Configurations! Have a great Wednesday!

Hey wonderful students o’mine…
I decided to not give any homework assignments for Week 4. Therefore, “A” day students will not have any homework due until Thursday, October 1st, and “B” day students will not have any homework due until Friday, October 2nd.
Please note – if you are missing any homework assignments, they must be completed by October 2nd. Progress report grades are due next week, and any assignments that are missing will affect your grade.

Thank you for doing your part to make class so awesome! I appreciate your positive, upbeat attitude and all your effort!
Rubrics will be uploaded by Friday for each of you to check out for all of your assignments. There is also a new bin in my room that contains hard copies (paper copies) of all assignments for those that need it. Also, during class I will be individually meeting with each of you to discuss your progress and get your input.

Hey Students,
So I checked my links and my permissions on the spreadsheets, and I found everything to be correct. At this moment, I realized I needed to go on Google Forums to see if any other individuals in the world were having a similar problem. Well, we are not the only ones! Isn’t it comforting to know you aren’t alone in the world, and another person is having trouble, too.
This is what I discovered…Even though the spreadsheets are correctly set up it appears to have to do with the browser you use. If you are using IE 6.0 or IE 7.0, you may have an issue and be asked to login to Google, even though I didn’t set it up for you to have to login. If you are using Firefox 3.1 or Google Chrome 2.0 you should be okay.
Isn’t this interesting! You learn something new everyday!
So, here’s my question…has anyone found using Firefox or Chrome allows you access????? Let me know what you think.
I’m going to see what else I find – worse case, we move Section 2 on Week 3’s Homework #2 to the next class period.
No worries, okay. Remember, technology is awesome, but it has it’s issues – part of the fun in learning is discovering the issues and working around them to find new and better ways!

Week 2: September 7th to September 11th
This week we will begin our first unit titled, “The Fundamentals of Computer Technology.” In this unit we will examine various aspects of computer history, hardware, software, and the such. I’m looking forward to a great week.
